Shannon

Shannon's first teacher training was in 2017 when she completed The Hot Yoga Spot's Hot 26 Revolution training. She then traveled to Suryalia Yoga Retreat Centre in Andalusia, Spain to obtain her 200-hour certification with Frog Lotus Yoga. After teaching at a dance studio and working as a Special Education teacher, she discovered Baptiste Yoga, and became more curious about deepening her understanding of asana, meditation, and inquiry through the Baptiste Foundation.

She completed the 100 hour Level 1 Baptiste training with Baron Baptiste in July of 2019 and plans to complete level 2 later this year. Shannon has a passion for making yoga accessible to more people who need it.

When not on her yoga mat, Shannon is working towards her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at UAlbany’s School of Social Welfare. She encourages her students take the lessons they learn about themselves off their mats and into our world. Yoga has helped her on her healing journey and path to sobriety, and through her teaching, she hopes to do her part in making the world a happier, healthier, and safer place.
