Kendra is no stranger to the fitness industry. She started out working behind the counter at a well known big box gym in 1999. She fell in love with taking classes and loved watching the trainers work one on one with their clients. It didn’t take long for her to realize the fitness industry was where she belonged and wanted to work forever. Kendra started getting group fitness certification’s shortly after and became a personal trainer through The National Academy Of Sports Medicine. Kendra also became a certified weight loss specialist as well as corrective exercise specialist.

In 2013, Kendra competed in two local body building shows and came in first place at one of them. Competing really empowered Kendra to commit her time and energy toward helping others to go after and achieve their goals!

Kendra has always loved yoga. With her busy schedule and the strain she was putting on her body, she added at least two sessions in each week. It wasn’t until her mid thirties that she discovered hot yoga and barre classes at The Hot Yoga Spot. A funny anecdote from Kendra's first class:

"The instructor told her to grab a set of weights and a ball. She looked at the instructor and said 'the weights only go up to five pounds?' The instructor laughed a little and said to trust her and that five pounds will feel very heavy quickly. Needless to say- about half way through class she dropped the weights because the fives felt like 50’s.”

After just one class, Kendra was hooked and she later became certified in BarreFlow and also graduated from her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Styles Yoga at The Hot Yoga Spot. Over the years, Kendra has also taught hiit, bootcamp, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and suspension training. She loves pushing herself outside of her comfort zone! The Hot Yoga Spot is Kendra's happy place and she looks forward to sweating with you soon!
