Emma

Emma has been a yoga practitioner for about 5 years and has been in physical fitness for 8 years with a background in competitive powerlifting and calisthenics. She’s used this to develop a wide understanding of anatomy and how fitness can play into yoga philosophy, practices, and mentality outside of physical practice and postures. Yogic philosophy can help the world by allowing us to lead with love, compassion, and a deeper sense of empathy for each other, the Earth, and ourselves.

Emma completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Styles Yoga at The Hot Yoga Spot. She started teaching to encourage others to trust in themselves and their bodies, to utilize breath to connect us to our bodies and bring us back to the world, and to inspire them to try things they never thought possible. She loves developing community through shared play and passion, and yoga being such a beautiful way to do so. Her purpose as an instructor is to invite people to try new things, connect with themselves and their neighbors, and find peace in shared breath and movement.

Emma’s classes are playful, energetic and soothing. She offers a wide variety of options and ways to advance and deepen your practice, as well as modifiers in whatever ways necessary. When she’s not at the studio, she enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors, functional weight training, reading and writing, and traveling!
