Gabby discovered yoga in 2011 in New York City while training with the School of American Ballet, the official school of The New York City Ballet. Originally from Malta, she moved to Manhattan for all four years of high school to pursue a career as a professional ballet dancer. Practicing yoga daily helped Gabby cope with the constant stresses and demands of being a ballet dancer.
After learning that yoga helped her to stay present and to calm her mind, she found a new balance within her life. Gabby continued to practice yoga when she moved to Miami for a year to dance with the Miami City Ballet in 2013. Finding that a ballet career wasn’t her calling, she moved back to Albany, NY in 2014 and enrolled at SUNY Albany full time as well as teaching ballet to young dancers in the area. Following her passion for yoga and her love for teaching, Gabby enrolled in the Styles Yoga Teacher Training through The Hot Yoga Spot and received her 200-hour yoga certification. She graduated with a degree in Biology from SUNY Albany and has a great understanding of the fascinating human body. Gabby is a firm believer that yoga’s benefits can positively change one’s life. She is excited to share her love for the practice with her students and help them grow!
