News 10 ABC was at the Making Strides event on October 19 in Washington Park. Owner of The Hot Yoga Spot, Jessica Fuller, got to speak with them about how the studio community helped raise more than $25,000 in 18 days. She also explained how they were providing transportation to the event. The Hot Yoga Spot is doing all they can to raise awareness about breast cancer and money to fight it.

"This is an event organizers didn’t want people to miss. That’s why Jessica Fuller the owner of the Hot Yoga Spot and recently diagnosed with breast cancer this March found a way to get them here.

“So, we actually have been shuttling a bus all morning from the Hot Yoga Spot to Making Strides just to get people here and get them excited about the event. And the Hot Yoga Spot community and my community have raised $25,000 this month for Making Strides,” said Fuller."

The Hot Yoga Spot was recently featured on News 10 and Fox 23 for the work we do with veterans through the Yoga With Vets program. This partnership was established between The Hot Yoga Spot and Albany County in 2022 to bring free yoga classes to veterans on a weekly basis. We now offer three yoga classes each week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays nights at our studios in Latham, East Greenbush and Albany NY. The classes are free to attend and perfect for veterans and their support people.

An excerpt from the article:

The program was started in 2022 by Leslie, who is the director of Veteran Services for Albany County. Thanks to the PFC Dwyer Peer to Peer grant secured by the county and the partnership with The Hot Yoga Spot, the classes are offered free of charge twice a week to veterans and their family or friends who are by their side supporting them.

“Yoga is a great way for any veteran or first responder to heal themselves. They can find peace on the mat,” Leslie said.
